Our Professors
Emily Smith brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and creative energy to LaSalle College Vancouver. Emily holds a Master of Design from Emily Carr University of Arts and Design, and has served in a myriad of roles within the fashion and creative arts and design fields. She has a passion for collaborative projects and has been producing arts and culture events since 2010.
Emily has hosted youth mentorship programs, ladies’ hacking nights, circuit bending events, artist residencies, and a province wide initiative to create Maker Clubs in schools in partnership with the Industry Training Authority. She’s also an active researcher, currently working on a Maker Space project with Simon Fraser University.
After teaching Fashion at LaSalle College Vancouver for nearly 2 years, Emily transitioned to the role of Program Director for the Fashion School in the spring of 2020.
